All-State Children’s Choir Festival

The 2011-2012 All State Children’s Choir Festival will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Weston High School, in Weston, CT. This year’s clinician is the founder and director of the Fairfield County Children’s Choir - Connecticut’s very own: Jon Noyes! For more information about Jon and his wonderful choirs, please go to:
http://www.singfccc.org/about/meet-the-staff This year’s guest choir is the Select Chorus from Mystic Middle School, under the direction of former Festival Co-Chair, Ellen Gilbert.
ASAP- please send me the Application form, (see page 2) with payment, to reserve your spot in the festival - please note: this form is not for individual student information.
Individual student information will be done on line via “Survey Monkey,” (please see Page 1 – Information Sheet for instructions). It is due by March 15 (March 20 at the latest). The reason for this is to give you a little more time to hold auditions. However,you do not NEED to audition your students – since time is short, feel free to just choose 4-8 of your best singers to participate.
Upon receipt of your completed application and payment you will receive your music packets, and practice CD’s. Since this is such short notice, please feel free to write a personal check to be later reimbursed by either your school district or by each of your participating students.
In order to save you a little more time, I am also attaching a “sample” parent note (Page 3) for you to edit according to your needs. Page 4 is a flier of basic festival information.
